The Premise of Reincarnation

The Premise of Reincarnation

If reincarnation is true, how would knowing that fact influence the way I live this life?

I would have less fear of missing out.

I would be in a healthier relationship with time, not worrying about all the experiences I am not having.

I would trust that God would bring the correct experiences for me in this life. That I would enjoy the mythology of my current character.

I would view all living things differently, seeing their inherent value and holiness, and feel a deep sense of gratitude that I could be a part of this world as they are. That every person that crosses my path, every animal my eyes behold, every flower I get to see bloom, or every leaf I see delicately fall is a precious reward for choosing to notice.

Less fear, less anger.

I wouldn't lament or let anguish ruin me so deeply because I would know that we are in an ongoing evolutionary process that spans over millions of years. A story of grace: spirit becoming matter.

I would allow myself to sink into every sweet moment, however small, because I would know that is the precise gift my Creator wants to give to me as this specific character in this specific time.

I would have the courage to experience sorrow, loneliness, pain.

I would be more curious about the exact person I incarnated into.

I would pay attention.
